Back to basics. Every so often, someone has to go back to fundamental principles and translate them for a new generation. That’s what this book is, in addition to being an ethic of living. It answers basic but very important questions. What we are. What we are made of. What that means. How we should seek to be. How we should think. How we should act—if we want good results. ‘Who you are’ is a question that you answer yourself, by how you act, by how you think, and by how you seek to be.
To all of the new adults coming out of high school, this book teaches some of what you are hoping to learn by going to college. Or think you might be missing by not going. To all of the college graduates, and dropouts, this book teaches things that you were hoping to learn in college but that were never provided or offered. This book teaches some of the missing pieces that all of us are looking for. It is an attempt to describe truths of reality that are not being addressed for the majority of people. It is suitable for and recommended for every person, at any age.
We may be on the cusp of the singularity of recursive AGI. May. At such a time, it is right to take another look at what we are as people and to reconsider what is good and what is not good. We are the standard of recursive intelligence, against which any artificial form must be measured. Against which should be measured any potential good. Among other things, this book takes a look at the source of and purposes of human intelligence. It is a work of human philosophy, human thought, on what purposes our actions, tools, and creations should serve.
